Beer Betches presents: Beer.Diversity, sponsored by Publican House

  • Peterborough Square 340 George Street North Peterborough, ON, K9H 7E8 Canada (map)

The Electric City Brigade of Beer Betches is a local women's beer group, focused on education and community betterment, all in the name of craft beer. We are thrilled to have Ren Navarro join us to help bring to light the very important topic of beer diversity.

Ren Navarro is co-founder of The Society of Beer Drinking Ladies and has spent much of her 6+ years in the field as a sales representative for renowned and award-winning breweries. Using her perspective as a queer black woman within the industry, she has talked extensively about diversity in craft beer. Ren is no stranger to public speaking and has appeared frequently at tasting events, dinners, and talks informing and entertaining people through her love of craft beer.

We are also very fortunate to have Erin Broadfoot, Owner & Head Brewer at Little Beasts Brewing Company who will speak on being a woman in the beer industry, its challenges and her story.

Graciously sponsored by Publican House, this event promises to have a little something for everyone.

The event will be located in the space that the Peterborough Regional Farmers Market calls home, in the lower level of Peterborough Square. This has given us the opportunity to offer a very unique, educational event that is open to all ages.

For those 19+ (ID checked and wristbands provided), check out the incredible list of beer vendors:

Publican House, Smithhavens, Bobcaygeon, Little Beasts, Cameron's, Bancroft Brewing, Town Brewery, Second Wedge and Partake Brewing.

Don't forget to check out the food vendors, craft vendors and other non-alcoholic drink vendors!

This accessible space has washrooms, a feeding/changing area, plus a kids area where children and parents can participate in a Birdhouse Building Workshop, provided by Habitat for Humanity!

Don't miss it!
